Black sand is a popular substrate for aquariums and helps create a natural environment for your fish.
This sand can be used in freshwater tropical,coldwater & marine systems. The fine grade of this aquarium sand makes it ideal for planted aquariums and also is great for bottom feeding fish by offering a smooth surface to swim over and potentially preventing damage to barbels.
This black sand will require washing before addition to the aquarium to remove any dust etc. You may experience cloudyness initially after adding the sand but this will settle down and clear.
