Here is an
original antique, (hard to find)
7 1/2 inch tall
, size, wide-eyed, BELLHOP, printed cloth soft-stuffed, BROWNIE doll,
designed by Palmer Cox.
Copyrighted 1892 by Palmer Cox*
he is wearing his still brightly printed, clothing with double breasted, fitted red jacket over blue trousers, knee socks, wide belt with buckle, red & blue cap
and white gloves and the original printed *patent information on his feet as shown in the attached photos. He is a very hard to find character in this series of twelve as many of these charming dolls have faded over the years. He has bright color, no fading, no damages and no repairs (few brown age marks) and no odors as he is from a smoke free home.
He
would make an excellent addition to any vintage or antique cloth doll collection and one of the most popular in this original series of twelve. Other dolls shown from this original set are
not included
and each listed separately.
