Cute PAIR, MAGIS, Italy felt dolls, "mascotte" miniature (Lenci type) 1930s

Description

This cute matching PAIR of antique cloth dolls are shown on
page 203, "LENCI, The History and the Dolls"-Lazenby
and manufactured in Italy, by
MAGIS, circa 1930s.
With their wide, side-glancing eyes, applied felt ears and mohair wigs they are often said to resemble "The Campbell Kids" in expression. They are complete with all their original and very detailed, red and green felt, embroidered Alpine outfits complete with cotton knit socks and brown leather-like laced boots. They have jointed legs and floppy-style, jointed arms with painted fingernails, which is another identifying
characteristic feature.
They are in excellent, very clean condition with no fading or holes, no damages, no repairs and no odors as they are from a smoke free home. (loc. B. blue Lenci) Other dolls shown are
not included
and listed separately.
