    Description

    This is a Martha Chase boy with painted blond hair and blue eyes. 18 inches tall, original sateen covered cloth manufactured by Martha Chase, Rhode Island, USA, circa 1890. No repaint. There are a few scuffs and flecks on his head and around his lips but over all condition is great for a doll of this age. No repaint. He is wearing a navy blue (faded) romper with a US pin attached and has a cute cap.  He has tab-jointed (floppy style) arms and legs (early style: at hips, shoulders, elbows and knees) with individually stitched fingers separate thumbs and toes. Arms are very loosely attached. No smells, from a non-smoking home. Stored in a glass case. Purchased many years ago at the famous Gaithersburg Doll Show. Price includes shipping in the USA.
