His velvet coat, vest, and hat have some of the browning effect old velvet gets but it is much more noticeable in the photos than life and mostly in the back. See more in the description.

    Description

    This will be a "Showstopper" in anyone's collection.
    He certainly has been in mine for many years. Norah Wellings from England made a few of the large dolls, probably because Lenci did and this one is a charmer. He has the preferred Noreen face which is softer than some of her others and with his soft blonde hair and beautiful brown eyes, he is quite the handsome lad. As far as I can tell from the one smallish catalog picture I have seen of him, he is complete down to his bagpipes. He has his neck scarf with pin, I forgot to photo that so will add it. I did notice a hole in one of the folds of cloth. The lace at his neck is antique but I saw it on other pictures, not mine so added it. His furry "pouch" (has a name but I don't know it was also missing so I gave him one made of rabbit fur. Other than that everything is original. I will try to get an idea of shipping as he will be oversize. If you are overseas, check with me first because I am thinking shipping could be quite high and he should be insured or I can't be responsible. The doll itself weighs about 6 lbs and the box and packing materials would weigh a couple of pounds but the box size would be something like 33 x 15 x 7 so maybe you can figure it out. The limits on overseas is about 60" so it would be more the weight, priority around .00 Priority Express about . So keep that in mind. In the USA you are looking at oversized box and about 8lbs plus insurance. There are a couple of options and Fed Ex might be more reasonable. Once it is packed, I can choose the least expensive. If he sells for more than my starting price I will help with shipping costs.
    PS: You are probably wondering if he is wearing underwear but I will leave that as a surprise.
