Onyx" is a specially fracted porous substrate for the aquarium. Onyx" is suitable for any marine or freshwater environments and is ideally suited for cichlid environments. Onyx" is most effective when used alone as an integral substrate bed, but it may be mixed with other gravels or sands. Onyx" is not chemically coated or treated but does have a slight buffering capacity.

use to remove residual dust. Dust can also be minimized by filling aquarium slowly and dispersing water so that the Onyx" bed is not disturbed. Slight initial cloudiness is normal and will clear rapidly (2—12 hours). To shorten the cloudiness period use Clarity" in conjuction with mechanical filtration (such as filter floss). To determine the number of bags required for your aquarium, please note that each bag (7 kg, 15.4 lbs) occupies a volume of approximately 7,000 cm3 (425 cu. in.).

Shipping Info
We ship UPS orders within 24 hours of cleared payment (Monday - Friday). USPS orders ship within 48 hours of cleared payment. To view shipping cost click on the Shipping & Payments tab and enter the quantity you are interested in. We ship out of our warehouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. All items listed on auction are physically in stock. We do have rare cases where inventory can be misplaced/lost in the warehouse, in these rare cases, we will contact you ASAP and offer your choice of a refund, alternative product, and/or ETA if you wanted to wait for the item.
International Buyers are responsible for any taxes, duties, customs fees or additional charges incurred during shipping
We ship USPS and UPS. We cannot ship gift or sample marked international packages or list a reduced value on the customs invoice.
Please note electrical requirements for your countries electric grid. All products we sell, unless noted otherwise are 110v 60hz with a USA plug.
