not complete, but close!
A Smidge of History:
This is the original version of the WISC test, a modern version of which is still in use today.  When it debuted in '49, it was an adaptation of several subtests of the Weschler - Bellevue Intelligence Scale first published in 1939.  The new test included additional subtests specifically designed for it.
This set is in remarkably good condition for it's age.  It's missing at least 2 items... the horse and the mannequin puzzles are not here.  All copyright dates I can find are from 1949!

The Original Case --- there is a section built in to perfectly hold the arrangement cards.  Case also matches another set I have with the adult test (see my other listings).  The case is super cool and often not included with these sets.

CONDITION:
This is in very good condition, but this is a USED set... meaning actually used for it's intended purpose, back in the day.  It looks like one that was carried in to countless classrooms.  The case is SOLID, and has scrapes and scuffs, dings and dents.  There is a Westmorland County Public Schools sticker on the inside of the lid.  (That's in the Pittsburgh area, if you're unfamiliar.)  The manual is a little dog eared, and mildly marked up here and there, but there are no loose pages and it's actually in remarkable shape.  The coding scoring key is a bit flimsy but in tact.  The 2 puzzles and the blocks are nice, as are their boxes.  The blocks have scuffing on the edges.
WHAT'S MISSING?
I have no way to tell, but thanks for asking.  There is no inventory that I can spot, so I'm not sure what's not here.  I know there are supposed to be the two additional puzzles... the horse and mannequin ... but I can't say what else may not be here.  You'll receive everything you see in the pics!  Also note.... you can often find the individual puzzles for sale here on ebay, so you can likely complete this set!
All in all, it's an interesting bit of educational history, ready for display... or use, I suppose.  A great conversation starter at the least!
