This antique primitive folk art doll has been identified as a Navajo Railroad doll
Hand made c
loth doll with hand drawn face, made by railroad workers in the 1860s
Fabric of doll feels like silk
Black yarn hair
Bead earrings sewn into head
Wearing a velveteen jacket with bead buttons and blue cloth skirt (no closure)
Also cloth shoes on her feet, one of which is frayed and in need of a few stitches, skirt has a few untreated spots in back
She is missing her beads and belt
Very lovely doll in very good condition
