    Description

    Originally sold by a deaf person to a tourist, the front of this little flyer is decorated with an image of the Capitol dome and is inscribed "Good Luck Enjoy Yourself By Speaking to The Deaf Mute With Your Fingers Smile Don't Worry."  There are illustrations of the single and double hand alphabets on the inside and on the back it is inscribed "To Ladies and Gentlemen I am selling this card to earn my living.  Will you Please Buy this card or more ?  Price 10 cents."  The flyer measures 5 1/4 in. tall by 3 in. wide and is in fair condition with a fold crease across the center, a pencil mark in the lower left, surface and edge wear, and some soiling and discoloration.
